Welcome... We are pleased to see you are interested in promoting and publicizing your Lodge events to the public. You have come to the right place! Here you will find information, and press release templates that will assist you.

The Grand Lodge of Virginia Committee on Public Relations wishes to assist your Lodge in promoting your Lodge public events that would be of interest to both Masons and the general public through the Grand Lodge of Virginia social media sites. Events promoting Freemasonry, its charitable endeavors, and the good Masons do in our communities and Lodges, including blood drives, Child ID events, Community Builder Awards, Eagle and Gold Scouts awards, open houses, interesting programs, and other events are all eligible to be posted on the Grand Lodge of Virginia Facebook and Twitter pages. In addition to promoting upcoming events, the Committee on Public Relations is interested in highlighting successful events that have already occurred.

The Grand Lodge Facebook Page has nearly 10,000 likes, and advertises to many thousands of others. The Twitter account has nearly 2,000 followers. Posting your Lodge's events to these social media accounts will greatly increase the marketing potential for these events, and will assist the Grand Lodge of Virginia in showcasing the good that Masons do in their Lodges and communities at the same time.

To submit an event for publication on the Grand Lodge of Virginia social media sites:

- Send an email with your event information (either before or after the event) and a promotional or event picture to pr@vamasons.org

OR

- Post to the Grand Lodge of Virginia Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/GrandLodgeVirginia/

Submissions will be published at the sole discretion of the Grand Lodge of VA. All submissions must be of interest to the general public and Masons alike, and comply with the Methodical Digest and the Grand Lodge of VA Social Media, Public Relations and Information Technology Policy published at http://policy.grandlodgeofvirginia.org
